A Message from Mason Scheer, Founder and CEO

I started Granola Marketing Solutions as a way to answer a question that had been living rent-free in my head.

“How can I use my passion and skills to make the world a little more Granola?”

Let’s back up a bit first though. I attended Gonzaga University and graduated with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship. I learned the fundamentals of business and built a foundation for recognizing pain points and imagining solutions. I then went on to spend several years in big tech to gain real-world experience.

Though comfortable with the life I was building, I was not satisfied. I had the entrepreneurial drive to do more. I have always had a creative mind and a passion for telling stories. Naturally, I wanted to find a way to pursue my passions while utilizing my business skillset.

Along came digital marketing.

I had learned a lot about digital marketing through my education and corporate career and saw it as a way to help others share their stories with their audience.

I started this company as an entrepreneurial project to “learn by doing.” The process consisted of learning new tools, refining my existing skills, and finding my “why”.

Now back to the question that was burning at the front of my mind.

I wanted to incorporate my values into the services my company provides. To me, it is more than just creating another digital marketing agency for businesses to choose from. The best way I could describe it at the time was “To make the world a little more granola”.

I believe in the power of supporting small, local businesses to create a more sustainable world for all. There are numerous statistics and facts available that support the eco-friendly benefits of shopping local.

Through digital marketing, I hope my company can leave its mark on the world by creating a marketplace that is more aware of these small businesses and the good they do for the world.
